I recently started teaching and choreographing at my old studio. I teach most of the tap classes and a rec jazz class. I also sub for some other classes and styles. In addition to my weekly classes, I choreographed most of the competition tap dances. It is fun being back at my old studio and seeing how things are run from a new perspective. I enjoy getting to know the kids and share my knowledge and love of dance with a new generation. It is fun to be around that energy where these kids are just starting to discover their relationship to this art form.
My favorite part of the week is the privates I have with kids on the weekends. That is where I get to work one on one with them or with small groups of them. I feel that is where I really get to know the kids and where I get to share my favorite parts of dance with them.
