This year I got to do something I have always been interested in doing which is judging a dance competition. I grew up as a comp kid and always wondered what it would be like to sit there and watch so many dances in a weekend. I loved it! I had so much fun watching the kiddos shine all weekend. By the end of the day, my voice was so tired from giving commentary but my body was ready to go on a run as I had been sitting in a chair all day. It was a strange feeling.
My fellow judges were so nice and the competition ran very smoothly. I saw many talented young dancers in every style of dance. I felt honored to get to sit there all weekend and enjoy their and their teacher's hard work and asrtistry.
