This past summer I spent another season at Kings Island! This time I was in a show called Off the Rails produced by All Wheel Sports. This show was a totally new experience for me for a multitude of reasons.
First, I was a dancer and understudy for the female lead vocalist in the show! Due to some health issues that were being resolved at the beginning of the summer, I ended up going in for the vocalist role for opening weekend. It was such a rewarding experience being thrown into this show and learning two tracks by the time the show opened. I loved getting to do both of my loves, dancing and singing, all summer long.
The second reason it was such a new experience for me was because this show was all about the amazing athletes we had in it. There were trampoline wall athletes, BMXers, roller bladers, and scooter riders! Hitting your blocking has never been as important as it was in this show. I also loved being in a cast with a group of people and a lifestyle I was unfamiliar with. It was so cool getting to learn about the life of action sports athletes and then being able to call them my friends!
