I was given the opportunity to be assistant company manager of the American Spirit Dance Company for their Home for the Holidays and Broadway Revue shows. I learned so much about how to be a leader and how to communicate information to large groups of people.
The most challenging part of this experience was keeping up morale. The Broadway Revue happened right at the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Every day of tech week we received more and more upsetting news. Having to be a leader during this upsetting time has been one of the most challenging parts of my college experience.
I loved stepping into this position where I was able to look after my fellow classmates and ensure their well-being.
